Queensland Instameet

The @Queensland Instagram account is hosting the ‘Biggest Instameet in the World’ at about 80 (and counting) locations all across the sunshine state on Saturday 4 October. Start your smartphones, fire up Instagram and help us show the world how very good-looking Queensland is (and that we need #nofilter).

What is an Instameet? An Instameet is a pre-determined place and time where a group of Instagrammers get together for about an hour or so to meet each other and take photos. That’s pretty much it, but here is the full low-down on what happens at an Instameet.

All you need to participate is a smart phone with the Instagram app installed and your account set-up. Next find a Queensland Instameet location that suits you and then register your participation to stay in the loop and to gain special access to photography tips and the latest Queensland Instameet news.

On the day, your hashtag is #thisisqueensland and there are a few competitions running. We also have a list of super-star Instagrammers hosting Instameets, find out who they are and where we are sending them too!

Oh and make sure you are following @queensland on Instagram or things could get #awkward.
