Why not let someone else do the driving? Coach travel is a relaxing way to arrive at your Queensland holiday destination. Direct services to Brisbane depart from Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, with many connecting services throughout Queensland.
Greyhound is one of the main carriers, though there’s a host of smaller charter coach and tour operators based in most destinations.
Almost all of the major towns along the Queensland coast are serviced, as well as regional hubs like Charleville, Longreach and Mount Isa. You might want to book a coach all the way to Cairns, or travel only as far as Australia Zoo. Connections and bookings are usually flexible in terms of get on/get off arrangements.
There are routes and timetables available on the Greyhound site.
Sydney to Brisbane: 15 hours
Melbourne to Brisbane: 23-28 hours
Adelaide to Brisbane: 34 hours
Mount Isa to Brisbane: 26 hours

Arrival & Departures
Unlike airports, most coach services drop you off right in the heart of town.
The Brisbane Transit Centre, located at Roma Street Station in the centre of Brisbane, is the coach hub of South East Queensland. Regular bus services arrive and depart to most Queensland destinations. You can also connect with rail and airport transfers, as well as local buses.
The centre is a hive of travel information and connection, a popular meeting point and also has its own food court.
