Description

Whitsunday Transit is the mainland's major passenger transport service in the Whitsunday Region. Providing over 70 services per day in the Whitsunday area, the local bus timetable operates seven days a week.

Whitsunday Transit operates a transfer service for passengers arriving at and departing from Whitsunday Coast Airport near Proserpine and Proserpine Railway Station. This means that regardless of the time of day or night, buses or coaches will be there to meet passengers for every flight and train.

Local timetabled services run every 15 to 30 minutes along Shute Harbour Road, between Cannonvale, Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour, including stops at both Centro and Whitsunday Shopping Centres and Abel Point Marina. Up to eight services a day also run to and from Proserpine. The low-floor buses permit unrestricted access for passengers.

Cancellation Information:
Refunds of ticketed bookings will be subject to the following conditions. Cancellation with more than 24 hours notice prior to departure equals a full refund. Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice prior to departure equals 50 per cent of fare value. Nil refund for a failure to board.

Bus and coach departures from bus stops, or from designated accommodation houses by arrangement (airport transfers only).

Further Details:
Bookings for airport pick ups must be re-confirmed 24 hours prior to departure. Unaccompanied baggage cannot be transported to or from the airport. Budget priced transfers are offered for any individuals or groups on scheduled services and charters for groups to their specifications. Whitsundays Transit provides transport to and from various activities. The service does not supply activities itself (such as bungy jumping, fishing, swimming, tennis), but offers bus or coach transfers for other operators.

Hotel Pick-up:
Pick ups available from all accommodation houses in Airlie Beach, Cannonvale, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Proserpine. Those must be booked 24 hours prior to travel.
