Children:
Children are welcome. A child under 12 years of age will not be permitted to travel unless accompanied by a parent or adult guardian responsible for the care of the child.

Disabled:
Every Queensland Rail Travel service carries a collapsible wheelchair to aid customers with restricted mobility to get to and from their seat or sleeping berth. Facilities including a specially designed toilet and seating area are available for customers with a disability on Tilt Train services.

Cancellation Information:
Cancellation Policy: Fees will apply if travel is cancelled or amended.

Other Facilities:
Customers may bring up to three items of luggage which includes a maximum of two items of checked luggage. Each item of checked luggage can be a maximum of 20 kilograms (44 pounds) and 180 linear centimetres. Luggage check-in facilities open one hour prior to departure at attended stations and close 30 minutes prior to the departure time.
Carry on luggage (unchecked) is limited to a maximum size of 23 x 34 x 48 centimetres per item. Carry on luggage must be placed under a seat, sleeping berth or in the luggage racks provided.
Smoking is not permitted on board any Queensland Rail Travel service or station platform.

Further Details:
Showers and toilets are provided at the end of all sleeping and most sitting cars. There are no showers available on the Tilt Train between Brisbane and Rockhampton.
Dining and special diets: For customers travelling in Queenslander Class on The Sunlander, meals are included in the fare. On other services, meals and snacks are available for purchase as required from the Dining Car, Club Car, Buffet Car or Galley Car (depending on the train). Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are not included in the fare but may be purchased on all Queensland Rail long distance services. Arrangements can be made for customers who have special dietary requirements providing four days notice is given.
Special dietary meals: Diabetic, Low Fat, Vegetarian, Vegan, Kosher, Gluten Free, Low Cholesterol, Coeliac, lactose intolerant and many others listed on queenslandrailtravel.com.au.

Queensland Rail Travel has Trainlink bus connections available from Airlie Beach, Yeppoon and Hervey Bay regions. Queensland Rail Travel stations are located at all major towns along the Queensland coast and outback routes. Please visit the web site for station locations and facility information. Queensland Rail Travel do not provide accommodation pickup however transfers can be generally arranged by your travel agent or your accommodation operator may offer this service.
