Spirit of the Outback

Children: Children are welcome. A child of 12 years of age and over will be permitted to travel unaccompanied on Traveltrain services. A child under 12 years of age will not be permitted to travel unless accompanied by a parent or adult guardian responsible for the care of the child.
Disabled: Facilities including a specially designed toilet and seating area are available for guests with a disability on Tilt Train services. Every Traveltrain service carries a collapsible wheelchair to aid persons with restricted mobility to get to and from their seat or sleeping birth.

Cancellation Policy: Fees will apply if travel is cancelled or amended.
Luggage Policy: All passengers may have conveyed free of charge two items of luggage not exceeding 20 kilograms (44 pounds) each, plus one piece of hand luggage. Where check-in facilities are available, luggage must be presented at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The liability for loss or damage is limited to AUD 200.00. Unchecked luggage is carried at the owner's risk. Identification tags should be affixed to all items including hand luggage. Showers and Toilets: Showers and Toilets are provided at the end of all sleeping and/or sitting cars. There are no showers available on the Tilt Train between Brisbane and Rockhampton.

Dining and Special Diets: For passengers travelling in Queenslander Class on The Sunlander, meals are included in the fare. On other services, meals and snacks are available for purchase as required from the Dining Car, Club Car, Food Beverage Car or Gallery (depending on the train). Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are not included in the fare but may be purchased on all Traveltrain long distant services. Arrangements can be made for passengers who have special dietary requirements providing 4 days notice is given.
