Description
Steep and challenging, the track to Whitsunday Cairn leads off Cairn Beach, the most northern beach on Whitsunday Island. A demanding ascent takes you through hoop pines and dry rainforest. Take care to stay close to the ridge line as you walk through drier open woodland where giant grasstrees dominate.
This short but difficult track is deceptive, allow at least four hours to complete the return journey.
