Welcome to the world of sailing with Getaway Sailing on the Gold Coast. Their packages range from a South Stradbroke Island discovery, one hour Gold Coast cruises, whale watching, or maybe a pamper package sailing adventure. We have many packages to choose from, or they can tailor something for you. They are a small family business specialising in private yacht charters with their own private Day Spa. Getaway Day Spa is located on the beautiful Tamborine Mountain.

Their Gold Coast Cruises will be remembered with the thrill of sailing through the Gold Coasts beautiful and tranquil Broadwater. There are many things to do from sailing their 35 foot Dufour yacht, swimming, sun baking, walking along the white sandy beaches of South Stradbroke Island and watching the wildlife both in the water and on the islands. They also conduct a Whale Watching cruise whilst under sail. All passengers are given a complementary glass of champagne to enjoy during your time on board. Getaway Sailing on the Gold Coast is located at Runaway Bay Marina only 45minutes from Brisbane. They also offer Gift Vouchers for these special occasions which can be either posted or emailed to you.

How To Get There:
By road from the Pacific Motorway: Take exit 62 head east on the Gold Coast Highway (towards the Gold Coast). When you reach the Broadwater turn left and head north on Marine Parade. Turn right at the roundabout immediately after the bridge over Biggera Creek onto Bayview Street. Continue north on Bayview Street for 2.7 kilometres and Runaway Bay Marina will be on your right.

1 Hour Sailing Cruise

2 Hour Gold Coast Sailing charter

3 Hour Gold Coast Sailing Cruise

An ideal opportunity to escape your busy life for a few hours and enjoy champagne cruising with Getaway Sailing out on the tranquil waters of the Southport Broadwater on the Gold Coast. Choose either sailing south to see the city scapes or sail north to the national parks of South Stradbroke island on the eastern side and the exclusive Efron and Sovereign Islands to the west. An afternoon sail will allow you to see the sunset over the Gold Coast hinterland and experience the peace of the water at twilight.

4 Hour Gold Coast Sailing Cruise

Once you take control of a 35 foot yacht and feel it's power as your vessel heels and glides through the water, something inside wants to discover and learn to refine your skills. A four hour Gold Coast cruise on the placid Broadwater will allow your group to enjoy both friendship and sailing.

Sailing requires good decision making, communication and prompt actions taken. Its always a pleasure to watch friends and family combine to bring the boat to life. With a skipper close at hand to help in making decisions your group can concentrate on sailing the vessel and achieve in learning to sail as a team.

If you prefer your skipper can take control of the vessel while you take in the sights of South Stradbroke Island, Efron and Sovereign Islands and the wildlife going about their day. Sunsets over the Gold Coast hinterland are special from the water while under sail.

8 Hour Sailing Cruise

Experience a boat cruise in the smooth waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater. With your skipper helping to make the decisions you can all play a part in the fun and excitement of sailing the vessel or if you prefer, sit back and relax and enjoy the scenery with a complementary glass of champagne.

We depart Runaway Bay Mariner at 9 o'clock embarking on a two hour sailing adventure destined for the northern tip of South Stradbroke Island. If you arrange for catering for the day nibbles and drinks will be served along the way. BYO alcoholic beverage. If you prefer to bring your own food they will be more than happy to serve this to you while sailing north.

The half way destination is full of beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. There are wallabies, pelicans, sea eagles and plenty of marine life to be seen. While we are on anchor you could have a swim and sunbake or take a 20 minute walk over to the ocean side of the point to fossick for shells and enjoy the ocean waves. They depart at around 4:00pm and return with the sun setting over the Gold Coast hinterland.

Whale Watching Gold Coast

Whales and Sails.

Under sail with the Whales and Sails cruises Whale watching Gold Coast you feel the ultimate thrill during the Gold Coast whale watching season. Getaway sailing tours provide the only whale watching sailing boat on the Gold Coast. Within 45 minutes sailing out of the Seaway entrance they are floating on the ""Whale Highway"". The Gold Coast is a fantastic place to watch Hump back and Southern Right whales migrating between the cold Antarctic waters on the way to the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef and what better way to see them than under the power of mother nature sailing silently through the ocean. This migration occurs between June and early November and is a whale watching spectacle not to be missed. This all happens only 45 minutes from Brisbane.

This tour is conducted in ocean conditions and is about a five hour duration.

In the afternoon experience a relaxing adventure boarding Getaway Sailings private yacht. Here they will be taking you on a sailing cruise through the Gold Coasts beautiful and tranquil Broadwater.
