Locally owned and operated, Daintree Tours runs two tours from Port Douglas through Mossman Gorge, The Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation and the renown Bloomfield Falls. Each tour is compiled of different routes winding through the World Heritage listed areas, each encompassing its own unique features. All tours include morning tea, a catered lunch at remarkable sites as well as a cruise along the Cooper Creek for estuarine crocodile watching.

You will be able to experience the best the Tropical North has to offer from the comfort of a Toyota Landcruiser, Mercedes Vito, new Mercedes Sprinter, or the custom-built Daintree Tours cruiser. All tours are guided by experienced interpretative guides with years of local touring experience. Private charters are also available with opportunities to customise tours to suit individual guests' needs.

How To Get There:
All guests are picked up from their accommodation each morning. Pick up times are specified upon booking. Bookings can be made either direct with operator at Tropical Journeys (Corner Warner and Grant Street, Port Douglas), via tour desks or phone.

Cape Tribulation 0730 Departure

Your day begins with a short stroll through the magnificent Mossman Gorge, experiencing a rainforest over 30 million years old. Then on to the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park. Morning tea is at Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. A short walk up the Kulki Track follows, providing splendid views of the beach, rainforest and inshore reefs. Venturing on to Jindalba, this tour highlights one of the most rewarding track of this ancient rainforest. A wilderness cruise if also included on Cooper Creek, the only tour boat permitted in the Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park. The trip home includes a stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company, arriving home at approximately at 4.30 p.m.

Bloomfield Track and Falls

While this safari combines some of the highlights of the Cape Tribulation tour, such as the 'one creek - one boat', Cooper Creek river cruise, and the many scenic view, it's true value lies beyond the Cape to Bloomfield where the last of the untouched upland and lowland forests still remain. It's a powerful place, where nature rules with the power of water. Some rock art is also present on the rocks near the falls. It's perhaps the ultimate day out of Port Douglas, a safari of unrivalled grandeur. This personalised safari travels with only six people and is well worth the four wheel drive experience!
