Description

Daintree River Wild Watch offers you an early morning bird-watching Boat tour experience. Not only is it a special time on the river, which only early mornings can offer, but it is the optimum opportunity for some great bird-watching and photography. Species often found include the Great Billed Heron, Black Bittern, Nankeen Night Heron and Papuan Frogmouth just to name a few, as there are too many to mention. Their sunset tour is another time on the river that can be very rewarding. As the wind tends to drop late in the afternoon, you can observe some of the birds out and about or a crocodile lying on the bank catching the last rays of the day, Cattle Egrets flying low on their way to roost for the night, to finish off with some magical sunsets.
