Cooper Creek Wilderness occupies the centrepiece of the solitary place on the planet where two World Heritage properties unite in a masterpiece of natural and cultural splendour. The structural integrity of the entire landscape is built around an anchorage of densely packed trees of varying diameter; mostly with exaggerated buttress roots. Contiguous crowns are knitted into an interconnected whole by comprehensive networks of vine.
Expert Interpretation will give you the Aboriginal Cultural history and show that Ecotourism is the only way to protect and conserve this magnificent global treasure.

The greatest opportunity to observe some of Australia's most unique wildlife in natural habitat occurs after nightfall. Temperature, rainfall and moonlight all have profound effects on wildlife behaviour. The most ideal conditions occur on the hottest, wettest and darkest nights. By contrast, brightly moonlit nights in the middle of the cooler, drier periods confer significantly greater challenges. Cooper Creek Wilderness night walks ethically immerse the traveller into the very depths of the world's oldest surviving rainforest. There are no artificial structures linked to the security of a roadside car park. Inhabitant guides select a different trail on successive nights to showcase the authenticity of the nocturnal landscape and particularly in terms of its habitat values.

A mere one per cent of travellers to the Cape Tribulation Daintree Rainforest successfully negotiate their way through the protective barrier that conceals the old-growth Gondwanan forests of Cooper Creek Wilderness. Guided, interpreted day tours reveal an extraordinary intellectual property, which amplifies the profundity of nature's masterpiece.
Similarly, nocturnal tours reveal dimensions of global significance that are invariably hidden during daylight hours. Access to the inner-secrets of a forbidden forest will always be an elusive undertaking, but no greater determination can be made than to consider the combination of both a day tour and a nocturnal foray. Each walk issues perspective upon the other to significantly broaden the horizons of an exceptionally complex ecosystem.

Finally, a rainforest experience that showcases the best of the world's oldest surviving rainforest - without modification! Travellers to tropical north Queensland are directed into a variety of 'Daintree Rainforests' featuring artificial structures. The choices are incredible. The greatest difficulty would seem to be gaining access into pristine rainforest without any gimmickry at all. Genuine old-growth rainforest, spectacular in its grandeur is presented not through the construction and maintenance of a formal trail network, but rather through the knowledge and memory of the inhabitant guide. Over twelve months of familiarisation has brought a new concept of a longer, more intensive guided tour to fruition. The rewards are quite clearly beyond those that have become so familiar from our formal network of presentation trails. Minimum number of two.
