Present owners of the grand colonial Boonara Homestead, Rob and Lorraine Goodchild, invite you to visit this historic home which was built in 1862 for David Jones of Department Store fame. The Jones family continued to live on Boonara for 117 years. They offer you a guided tour of the homestead along with many of the 'century old' stories from the early 1800s. You will see many collectables, antique furnishings and a large collection of English china. Take a stroll to the original homestead cemetery, explore the gardens and birdlife, take a ride in the old 1926 Chev mail truck and check out the other vintage machinery, not forgetting a carrot or two maybe for their old Clydesdale horse Clyde. Then you can follow all this up with a Devonshire tea, homemade scones and fresh cream, while relaxing on the wide verandas and taking in the stunning views.
