Yanguwah - Aboriginal & Native Wildlife Night Experience

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's Yanguwah experience immerses guests in an engaging evening of Indigenous Australia and native wildlife.

The experience includes a traditional welcome ceremony, Kup Murri feast, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander song and dance performances and an introduction to native Australian animals and their connection to Aboriginal people.

Feed a mob of kangaroos, hold a koala, crocodile or snake and witness a Tasmanian Devil rip into their 'tucker'.

The Kup Murri, a traditional method of cooking in the earth, delivers a delicious selection of meat and vegetable options supported by traditional mouth watering dishes and fresh fruit. Experience a meal you'll never forget.

Sanctuary Cafe

Local. Fresh. Natural. Come back to Currumbin for a great dining experience. Sanctuary Café offers local, fresh food in Currumbin's unique, natural surroundings. There's no entry charge to visit for breakfast and lunch at Sanctuary Café. You'll enjoy the best food, wine & coffee from the region as well as wildlife encounters.

Lorikeet Arena

A Queensland icon, you can feed the lorikeets for a donation.

You can also explore the retail outlets and enjoy fresh local produce for breakfast or lunch at Sanctuary Café - and, if you wish, purchase entry to enjoy a full day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

The wild Lorikeets feed at the Sanctuary from 8:00am-9:00am and at 4:30pm-5:00pm each day, just as they did when Alex Griffiths founded the Sanctuary more than 65 years ago. So come back to Currumbin and celebrate with them!

Advanced Eco Certification

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has become the only major Gold Coast tourist attraction to gain Ecotourism Australia's Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation, with certification for both daytime experiences and for the Yanguwah Night Experience. The ECO Certification logo is a globally recognized brand which assists travellers to choose and experience a genuine and authentic tour, attraction, cruise or accommodation that is environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.

A National Trust of Queensland property, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the Gold Coast's leading native wildlife and coastal rainforest experience and home to hundreds of native animals in 27 hectares of natural surroundings. The ECO Certification program assures travellers that certified products are backed by a strong, well managed commitment to sustainable practices and provides high quality nature-based tourism experiences.

Green Challenge Adventure Parc

Presented by Adventure Parc, this exciting treetops ropes course through Currumbin's bushland areas takes elements of commando training and makes them safe, fun and exciting. While retaining the natural, bushland surroundings, the course involves cable ladders, rope bridges and a giant flying fox amongst the massive 65-challenge course launched in September 2009, taking the challenge to a new level!

Pets are not allowed on the property. Guide dogs only.
