The Tamarind is the fully licensed, in-house restaurant at the luxurious Spicers Tamarind Retreat, located near Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. From oysters with finger lime sorbet to spicy massaman curry, each dish delicately combines traditional Thai flavours of sweet, sour and spice that melt in your mouth. Specialising in innovative Thai cuisine, The Tamarind is headed by renowned chef Paul Blain and head chef Daniel Jarrett.
Spicers Tamarind Retreat is set within lush rainforest and bushland with abundant wildlife and a cool, peaceful ambience. The Tamarind restaurant is positioned with views and the option of indoor or outdoor seating.
Learn the intricacies of Thai cooking in a purpose-built cooking school at The Tamarind restaurant. Paul Blain hosts intimate classes of up to 12 people with five hours of cooking, lunch, wine and full recipes included. Places are limited and do book quickly.
The Tamarind is open to retreat guests and the public.
