Description
APT7 marks the 20th anniversary of the series - the only recurring exhibition internationally to present the contemporary art of Asia, the Pacific and Australia. APT7 will feature new and recent work by 75 artists and artist groups from 27 countries throughout the region, ranging from internationally-renowned senior artists to young and emerging artists.
... moreHighlights of APT7 will include the first major focus on artists from West Asia; works by young generations of Indonesian and Vietnamese artists; new work from a group of seven Australian artists; and the most significant representation yet of contemporary work from Papua New Guinea.
The 20th anniversary of APT presents an opportunity to reflect on the unprecedented transformations that have occurred in the visual arts in Australia, Asia and the Pacific over the past two decades.
The groundbreaking Kids' APT will also premiere interactive art works and installations.

With over a decade of experience, the Queensland Art Gallery Children's Art Centre is a leader in providing contemporary art for contemporary kids.
The Children's Art Centre presents a range of programs, enabling children and families to engage with the Queensland Art Gallery's Collection and major exhibitions. The groundbreaking Kids' APT will premiere interactive art works and installations.
Disabled:
Mobility-impaired and wheelchair access to QAG is via the lift on
the upper level of the Gallery/Museum car park, via ramps at the front
entrance from Melbourne Street or via the street level entrance on
Stanley Place. GOMA wheelchair access is via the street level entrance on Stanley Place or via the lift from the Stanley Place car park.
Book a Gallery wheelchair in advance.
How To Get There:
QAG and GOMA are located within easy walking distance of each other (150 metres apart), with entrances to both on Stanley Place. They are part of the Cultural Centre, close to the city centre and South Bank Parklands.
Paid parking is available at the Gallery/Museum car park (other car parks are also located in the precinct). Temporary vehicle set-down is available at Stanley Place.
Bus, train and CityCat stops are all within easy walking distance of the Gallery. Alight from the bus at the Cultural Centre Busway, from the train at South Brisbane Station and from the CityCat at South Bank 1 terminal.
