Television presenter, author and Executive Chef Ben O'Donoghue may have travelled the world cooking for rock-stars, celebrities and a whole host of other identities, but when it came to the philosophy behind his very own restaurant, he wanted to keep the emphasis on a relaxed and welcoming setting with great food and a terrific atmosphere.
South Bank Surf Club is situated just a few paces from the beach lending a traditional beach vibe and a casual approach to waterfront dining. They are open seven days for lunch and dinner and cater for everyone from families, couples, corporates and the kids. You might try some of Ben O'Donoghue's signature dishes from his books and television - plus a few new surprises.
What you can be sure is South Bank Surf Club has a strong focus on buying Queensland produce and using seafood from a sustainable source whether it's farmed, sustainably caught or caught from sustainable stock.

South Bank Surf Club's philosophy is an emphasis on a relaxed and welcoming dining setting featuring great food and terrific atmosphere. Obviously a winning formula with South Bank Surf Club awarded 'Best Casual Dining' in the prestigious Courier-Mail Queensland Food and Wine Guide Awards after only four months of opening.
The Restaurant seats 200 people sit down or 400 cocktail style with all tables enjoying spectacular beach, river and city views. They also have an elevated Lookout area that can be utilised as a private function space for 75 cocktail or 50 sit down.
All menus are created by Ben O'Donoghue use Queensland produce where possible and seafood from sustainable sources. Function menus with canapés, share plates and à la carte and flexible drink packages can be created to suit your occasion. For further enquiries please contact the operator.
