Salt Scuba Diving's 'Saltspray' is Townsville's fastest dive boat, running dive and snorkel trips to the Great Barrier Reef, Palm Islands, Magnetic Island and dive trips to the world famous Yongala wreck. Taking a maximum of 10 passengers at ultra high speed to their numerous dive and snorkel sites means you get not only a more personal experience but more time at the site. Gourmet lunches and refreshments are provided on every trip.

Great Barrier Reef Dive and Snorkel Trips depart every Monday and Saturday.

Yongala wreck dive trips depart every Friday and Sunday.

Palm Island's dive and snorkel adventures depart every Wednesday.

Magnetic Island aqua adventure departs every Tuesday and Thursday.

Children:
Saltspray is a high speed vessel. It is advised that very small children less than 30 kilograms should not join their tours.

Further Details:
Saltspray is a very fast boat. Those who feel a slower ride to the reef suits them more should not journey with them.
Their dive and snorkel destinations are a fair distance offshore and as such can be affected by weather conditions. The Yongala Wreck can be dived in a maximum forecast of 10 to 15 knots, the Great Barrier Reef in 15 knots and the Palm and Magnetic Island 15 to 20 knots, they will always place their guests' comfort and safety first when considering weather conditions.

How To Get There:
Free pickups are available as follows: 5.30 a.m. JCU Bookshop 6.00 a.m. La Porchetta, Charters Towers Road 6.10 a.m. Fuji Centre, Denham Street, The City 6.30 a.m. meet at the Break Water Marina Fuel dock near the strand, entry via mariners drive near the Tobruk Memorial Pool. Collection from Nelly Bay on Magnetic Island is available at AUD10.00 per person.

Yongala Wreck Double Dive Day Trip

Dive the world famous Yongala wreck aboard Saltspray, Townsville's fastest dive boat. With a maximum group size of 10 passengers and as little as 90 minutes of travel aboard the high speed catamaran, enjoy a much more personal, uncrowded view of this amazing dive site.

The Yongala wreck is a challenging dive, you should be a confident diver who has a minimum of 10 dives. They ask that if you have less than 25 dives that you dive with one of their team. Wreck tours and guiding are free of charge.

Great Barrier Reef Dive/Snorkel Day Trip

The Great Barrier Reef out from Townsville is simply spectacular, because it is further off shore it maintains better visibility and because it has fewer visitors the coral is more intact. They visit many different outer reefs, on most days you will not even see another boat, and you only have 10 passengers maximum, ensuring a very intimate experience of this natural wonder.

Palm Islands Dive/Snorkel Adventure

A day trip to the amazing Palm Island Group, where you will find crystal clear bays, white sandy beaches with emerald green rainforest leading all the way to the ocean, dive and discover Nemo and many of his friends as well as many of the largest giant clams you will find anywhere. The Palms are a short boat ride from Townsville and are a great destination for the whole family to enjoy the underwater world.
