Everyone has a dream. José Paronella's dream became a reality. On five hectares beside Mena Creek Falls he built his castle, a picnic area by the falls, tennis courts, bridges, a tunnel, and wrapped it up in an amazing range of 7,500 tropical plants and trees. He even harnessed the waterfall for his electricity. Paronella Park opened to the public in 1935.

Today, visitors to the park marvel at the achievements of one man.

Admission to Paronella Park is valid for 24 months and covers both the tours. There is a 45 minute guided walk that explains the extraordinary story and takes you through the highlights of the park, as well as the stunning Darkness Falls Tour where the castles and waterfall are flood-lit to allow for amazing photo opportunities.

Admission also includes the souvenir guide book, fish food, umbrellas, access to the online photo gallery, as well as a site for one night in the adjacent van park.

Other Information

Paronella Park reception hours are: weekdays, weekends and public holidays from 0830 to 1700.

Children:
Children are welcome however they must be accompanied by an adult.

Disabled:
Limited access to the Park is available for those in wheelchairs and mobility challenged visitors. Full access is available to the café and toilets.

Pets Allowed:
Yes. Pets are not permitted within Paronella Park, however a dog sitting area is available. Well behaved pets are allowed in the caravan and camping grounds.

How To Get There:
From the north: Head south from Cairns on Bruce Highway to Innisfail (86 kilometres), take the old Bruce Highway (18 kilometres) after Innisfail and follow the signs.
From the south: Head north on the Bruce Highway. Exit at Silkwood and follow the signs for 26 kilometres. This road is also known as the Canecutter Way.

Inclusions:
Admission cost covers entry, both day and night tours, a 12 month return pass, and one night in the caravan / camping grounds for guests with a tent, camper or caravan.
