Children:
The Parkland is designed for children of all ages. Spinning toys, climbing frames, gongs and sound boxes, as well as steps, trees and a rock-lined tree bed for games and exploration are provided. Train rides aboard the Jelly Bean Express are also available.

Disabled:
Disabled access is available. Pathways and toilets are wheelchair friendly. The Parkland also provides a Liberty Swing which is designed for disabled persons.

Spectacle Garden: Enjoy meandering through the winding path ways of this garden lovers paradise with an ever changing seasonal display of blooms. Spectacle Garden displays a vivid array of colour all year and includes a collection of flowers, herbs, water features and art works.
The Lake Precinct: With its wide open lawns and lakeside walkways, the Lake Precinct is a wonderful place to take a relaxing walk and see the resident ducks. Open spaces and shady trees also offer some good picnic spots where you can sit back and relax or take a break while the kids run off some steam.
The Forest and Fern Gully: The Forest and Fern Gully offers the chance to explore a subtropical misty rainforest in the centre of Brisbane! You can follow along the path way at ground level and take in the lush ferns and gushing creeks or extend your walk to one of the walkways that will lead you gently to above the tree tops where you can look down through the forest canopy to the pathways and plants below.
Celebration Precinct: Situated in front of Mélange Café, the Celebration Precinct boasts a magnificent lawn which is used for major community events. Significant artwork, a living mural and a dramatic water wall make this precinct a must see. Then, cross over the little bridge between the water walls which leads through to Frangipani Court with its lovely trees, barbecue areas and the Jumping Salmon water feature.
Upper Parkland: The Upper Parkland is a wonderful recreational area, home to the colourful children's playground, Amphitheatre and the contemporary Harry Oakman Pavilion. The Upper Parkland provides some of the best vantage points to take in the city views.
Wether you decide to explore the rainforest, take advantage of the children's playground or just relax by the lake, the Parkland has something for everyone to enjoy!

Bookings: All walks are free of charge. Bookings are essential for these specialised walks and four weeks notice is required. Please contact the Parkland Administration Office during normal business hours.
Morning or afternoon tea can be arranged in conjunction with any of the specialised walks for a small fee.

How To Get There:
The Parkland is a short walk from Brisbane's retail heart (Queen Street Mall ) and is situated adjacent to the Roma Street Railway Station - use the Platform 10 exit.

Pet Information:
Dogs on leads are permitted in the parkland.
