Make you way to the track from Middle Road; follow the four-wheel drive track north to the beginning of the walking trail.
Walking in soft sand can be very tiring. Wear sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Always carry an ample water supply and drink frequently. The track is approximately 2.5 kilometres in length and takes approximately two hours to complete. This is classified as a hard track.
How To Get There
Access to the island is by barge or launch. The barge trip from Whyte Island near Lytton or Scarborough takes two hours. Tangalooma Resort operates a passenger launch from Pinkenba. Pre-booking is essential for all transport. Four-wheel-drive is necessary to get around the island.
