Jumrum Creek Conservation Park protects a small pocket of rainforest in the middle of the Kuranda township.
The Jurum Creek walk may be accessed via Barang Street or via Barron Falls Road, both of which have small parking bays. At Barron Falls Road, the track continues for two kilometres (45 minutes) to Barron Gorge National Park and the Barron Falls lookout. At Barang Street, walkers must return the way they came. This circuit is an easy 1 hour stroll suitable for the whole family.
There are signposts at each section of the walk.
The dry season from May to October is the best time to visit.
