Josephine Falls walking track is located within Wooroonooran National Park.
Josephine Creek begins as a trickle high on the south-east side of Bartle Frere, Queensland's highest mountain. By the time it reaches Josephine Falls, the trickle has become a substantial creek, which at times turns into a raging torrent. The 1.2 kilometre track leads you through lush tropical rainforest to viewing decks overlooking the Josephine Creek and Falls, where there are excellent photographic opportunities. Wheelchair access is available to the viewing platform at the top pool. The track has an easy grade and takes about 30 minutes walking time. Access to the top section of the falls is prohibited. Serious injuries and deaths have occurred here.... less
