Cruise the famous Daintree River, a link between two world heritage area, the rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.
Solar Whisper Wildlife Cruises explore the main river and is small enough to get into some of the narrow rainforest creeks. Your experienced guide will explain the important mangrove ecosystem and can spot salt water crocodiles which are seen on most trips with the chance to see birds, butterflies, snakes, frogs and crabs. If an animal is difficult to see the boat is fitted with the unique "Croc Cam" which allows you to view the magnified wildlife using an onboard screen like communal binoculars.
... moreThe boat has electric motors with solar panels that help to charge the batteries so there is no impact on the river. There are no petrol or exhaust fumes and because it is so quiet you can get closer to nature.

How To Get There
Drive north from Port Douglas through Mossman and take turnoff to the right towards Cape Tribulation and Daintree car ferry. The ticket office is located at the public pontoon near the boat ramp about 300 metres before the car ferry on the southern bank of the Daintree River (about 45 minutes drive from Port Douglas).
