Description
Towering, ochre-coloured sandstone cliffs, gorges, caves, Aboriginal freehand art and amazing walks are just some of the attractions of Cania Gorge National Park. Find out about the park's wildlife, vegetation and history at the main picnic area beside pretty Three Moon Creek. Bushwalkers can choose from eight walks of varying length and difficulty. Short walks include the 300 metre (return) picnic area circuit along Three Moon Creek and a 1.4 kilometre return walk from the carpark to mining relics at the historic Shamrock goldmine site. The longest track, a 5.6 kilometre loop, takes in the Giant's Chair lookout and offers excellent views. Watch for platypus in the creek and peregrine falcons soaring above cliffs.

General Comments
Camping is not permitted in Cania Gorge National Park. Visitors can stay at caravan and camping parks nearby, or find accommodation in Monto.
How To Get There
The park is reached via sealed roads. Turn off the Burnett Highway 12 kilometres north of Monto or 77 kilometres south of Biloela.
