Calypso Adventures has been operating Great Barrier Reef snorkel and dive tours for 10 years. Getting 'on the water' is an essential part of everyone's Tropical North Queensland experience and Mission Beach is the best location to do that.

Plus, it is only 40 kilometres from Mission Beach to the Outer Great Barrier Reef.

Minimum age for SCUBA diving is 12 years.
Children and infants must be travelling with and are the responsibility of their parents (or legal guardian) at all times.

Cancellation Information:
On rare occasions services can be subject to change for operational reasons of weather and/or safety.
Should Calypso cancel a service, passengers will be offered an alternative day or a refund.
Trips are confirmed by 5.00 p.m. the day prior to travel. Cancellations after this time will incur a 100 per cent charge.

Further Details:
Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from diving. For advice contact the Calypso office.
Calypso recommend a minimum wait of 18 hours after your last dive before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or more.

How To Get There:
Mission Beach is the centre of adventure in Tropical North Queensland. Located south of Cairns (less than two hours drive) and north of Townsville (approximately three hours drive). Look for Mission Beach signs on the Bruce Highway in the middle of the Great Green Way - part of the 'Great Tropical Drive'.
Plus, from Mission Beach it is only 40 kilometres to the Outer Great Barrier Reef!

Tariff Information:
All rates are in Australian Dollars and are per person unless otherwise stated.
Government EMC (Environmental Management Charge) of AUD5.50 per person is payable direct on the day of the Reef Trip (included in rates quoted).
Fuel surcharge may apply as a result of fluctuations in world oil prices. If necessary, any charges will be collected on departure.

Great Barrier Reef Snorkel or Dive

Calypso Adventures of the Outer Great Barrier Reef are for snorkelers and divers.

Experience snorkeling or diving (optional extra) amongst abundant marine life at the beautiful unspoiled reef sites only an hour away from mainland Mission Beach and Dunk Island.

Snorkeling is a must do and the crew is trained to help beginners learn and the experienced to discover more. Calypso can introduce you to diving with the PADI 'Discover Scuba Diving' available - a Scuba dive is the very best personal souvenir you can have of the Great Barrier Reef.
