Description
If it can be made, it can be made at The Workshops at Build It! Since 1865, the Ipswich Railway Workshops have been the workplace of thousands of skilled tradesmen who have built and maintained the locomotives, wagons, carriages and machinery needed to create and run the railway in Queensland. Get your very own trade certificate with hands-on activities and walk in the footsteps of past workers to explore the many different trades used onsite and discover what working in a railway Workshop is really like.

How To Get There:
The Workshops Rail Museum is an easy 40 minute drive from the downtown Brisbane and parking is free. Follow the Cobb and Co Tourist Drive signs when you arrive in Ipswich.
Queensland Rail runs trains from Brisbane's Central Station and Roma Street Station to Ipswich Station regularly. Bus transfers from Ipswich Station to the Workshops Rail Museum are operated by Westside Buses. TransLink provides details of public transport options.
Extensive coach parking is available on site.
