Description

That's Awesome whale watching operates in the calm waters inside Fraser Island in Hervey Bay where the whales choose to rest and play. It offers the adventure tourist a unique experience with the founders of vessel based whale watching in Australia, Brian, Jill and Sarah Perry of Hervey Bay Whale Watch, Australia's most experienced company. That's Awesome delivers you the freedom to select from multiple trips that get you to and from the whales faster than ever before. You'll appreciate the low passenger numbers, giving up close and personal with the whales a whole new meaning, full walk around deck, on board toilet, super stability - four 300 horse power Suzuki engines creating 1200 horse power. No frills, just thrills - that's Awesome. Whale watch season is mid-July till early November. Summer Sun Indulgence Cruises operate November to May from 10.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. including double tube rides and lunch at Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

Water Taxi service available between Hervey Bay and Fraser Island all year. Transfers to Hervey Bay airport included.

Children are welcome onboard That's Awesome, but prams should be left in the floating office at the marina.

Cancellation Information:
Cancellations received 24 hours or more before tour will receive a full refund for paid ticket. 100 per cent cancellation fee applies for no prior notice. Cancellation by phone to 1800 671 977 or email to whales@bigpond.net.au.

Restrictions:
Passengers that may be pregnant, suffer from neck, back or heart conditions or have any prior injuries are not to ride with That's Awesome. An adult must accompany children under the age of 15 years. Passengers travel at their own risk. The owners and crew of That's Awesome will not be held responsible for any personal injuries, equipment loss or damage. Passengers are asked not to carry valuables and to wear suitable clothing, including a spray jacket. Cancellation limit is 24 hours before activity, full refund given on paid tickets. Cancellation fee is 100 per cent if no prior notice is given.

Awesome Adventure Dawn Patrol

That's Awesome will have you with the whales in the quickest possible time with speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour with the emphasis on being environmentally friendly with passenger comfort and safety a must. The first vessel to offer three cruises daily so you can choose the time best suited to your needs.

The Dawn Patrol departs at 7.00 a.m. for an early morning cruise before most other vessels leave the harbour. You will be one of the first out on the bay with the whales, returning by 10.00 a.m. to spend more time in their part of paradise.

Awesome Adventure Day Patrol

That's Awesome will have you with the whales in the quickest possible time with speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour with the emphasis on being environmentally friendly with passenger comfort and safety a must. The first vessel to offer three cruises daily so you can choose the time best suited to your needs.

The Dawn Patrol departs at 10.30 a.m. for those who enjoy a sleep in. You will still be out on the bay with the whales before the full day cruises, but home in time for a late lunch around 1.30 p.m.

Awesome Adventure Dusk Patrol

The first vessel to offer three cruises daily so you can choose the time best suited to your needs.

The Dusk Patrol is very special as you will be heading out as all other vessels are returning to the harbour. Whales on your own are a possibility while returning to the harbour as the sun sets over the bay. This cruise departs at 2.30 p.m. and returns at 5.30 p.m.

Summer Sun Indulgence Cruise

That's Awesome offers a unique experience with the founders of whale watching in Australia, Brian, Jill and Sarah Perry, the first female skipper in Hervey Bay.

The Summer Sun Indulgence Cruises operate from November to May.

This is a three to four hour cruise that stops off on Pelican Bank, a deserted sand island. The tour also includes swimming, snorkelling, double tube rides and lunch at the Sand Bar at Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island. Explore the surrounds of the resort including the swimming pools, the main reception building, and the beach, and spot wildlife including dolphins, turtles, dugong and dingos.
