Children must be accompanied by an adult and there are two huge playgrounds for different ages.
Disabled:
The Zoo is accessible for people who are mobility impaired. There are wheelchairs, motorised scooters, prams and wagons available for hire.
Seeing eye dogs are welcome. Notification must be advised prior to arrival.
How To Get There
Australia Zoo can be accessed by private transport, rail, bus or public transport. Australia Zoo offers a coach pick-up and return service for patrons to and from Australia Zoo to the rail stations (Beerwah and Landsborough). There is also the Australia Zoo coach pick-up service departing from 11 destinations from Noosa to Caloundra. This coach must be pre-booked by phoning Australia Zoo. Charges apply.
Self Drive Directions: The property is located on Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah, one hour north of Brisbane. There are also day tour options to the Zoo from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Contact the property for more information.
