At the 18 Mile Warrego River Fishing Spot you will find your own slice of Warrego heaven just 28 kilometres north of Charleville. The Warrego River stretches from Carnarvon Gorge in the north to Bourke in the south.
Fish common in this river system include: yellowbelly, catfish, murray cod, silver perch and spangled perch. Yellowbelly occur naturally in river systems west of the Great Dividing Range and is the number seven fish on the Department of Primary Fisheries 'top angling fish in Queensland'.
