Description

This track leads through the World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. It is the only track on the southern side of Cunninghams Gap that starts at the crest car park and climbs to the eastern peak of Mt Mitchell.

The trail winds in and out through rainforest and open forest past the West Peak to a knife-edge ridge above a sheer cliff on Mt Mitchells East Peak. The last part of the track is through open montane heath with grasstrees. As you step through the grasstrees, you will be inspired by stunning views in almost all directions.
