Description
The Mount Walker Fun Run is an event for young and old.
Entry categories are:
- Open Male/Female - Must be 16 and over as at 17/06/2012.
- Under 16 competitors must be 12 - 15 years of age as at 17/06/2012.
- Under 12 competitors must be 11 and under as at 17/06/2012.
Modified Circuit for junior categories Girls and Boys Under 16 and Under 12.
Team Time - teams can be mixed and must be made up of four competitors. Time will be tallied for each member. Mixed teams, may have men and women as well as children however under 12's are not able to be part of a team. If mixed ages it must have two adults in the team.

How To Get There:
To get to Mount Walker head off towards Townsville and turn off onto the Muttaburra Road, travelling eight kilometres to signs which will direct you to the right taking you up the side of the Mountain. When traveling up the side of the mountain please beware of any fallen rocks, and stay within the fenced area as beyond this is private property. This road has a 16 per cent incline and is not recommended for large Motorhomes, Buses or vehicles towing. The first 1.7 kilometres from the main road is a dirt road connecting to a sealed road to go up the top of the hill, this runs for 600 metres until you hit the top and then back onto dirt again. Please check at the Flinders Discovery Centre before traveling to Mount Walker.
