Description

Monal Creek Wine and Cania Gorge Fortified Wines also known as Waratah Vineyards is the first commercial vineyard in the Monto district and is the home of Monal creek wine. The first vines were planted in 1998 and there are now 3.2 hectares of Verdelho, Viognier, Shiraz, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

The cellar door sales outlet is located 15 kilometres from Monto on Gladstone Road, Mungungo, just past the Waratah Hotel. It's open every day except Monday 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and by appointment. They have three satellite outlets at Cania Gorge Big 4 Park, Cania Gorge Monto, Cedar Galleries Gladstone and Queensland Heritage Park Biloela.
