Description
Jourama Falls in Paluma Range National Park is a popular camping and picnic area beside rainforest fringed Waterview Creek.
The Jourama Falls track is a pleasant walk through open woodland that leads you across and then upstream along Waterview Creek. The track continues uphill to the lookout where you can see the falls - a series of cascades zigzagging their way down the rocky slope. There is also a path at the bottom of the hill that takes you to some rock pools upstream.

Further Details:
Visit between May and September when the weather and track conditions are at their best. Access may be restricted during the summer wet season when Waterview Creek rises and causeways are impassable. Highlights of the Jourama Falls Track include: picturesque waterfalls, open woodlands, rainforest-fringed creeks and the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The tract is three kilometres long, with a moderate degree of difficulty and should take approximately one hour to complete.
Take care crossing creeks, the rocks can be slippery. The creek may rise suddenly after rain and crossings will become difficult. Never attempt to cross the creek when rocks are submerged. Take care around cliffs, steep slopes and rock faces along the track and at lookouts. Diving or jumping into water can cause serious injury or may result in death. Swimmers are responsible for their own behaviour. Please ensure that you check the depth of the water before entering.
How To Get There:
Travel on the Bruce highway for approximately 88 kilometres north of Townsville or 22 kilometres south of Ingham. Turn west off the highway onto Jourama Road, then left onto Jourama Falls Road which will lead you to Jourama Falls campground.
