Description

From Paradise Dam at Biggenden, along the many weirs on the Burnett River, through to Cania Dam at Monto, water skiing, boating and fishing opportunies abound with all areas providing ample camping and picnic facilities. Come and enjoy the 'naturally beautiful' North Nurnett and their hospitality.

In contrast with their parks, mountain ranges and waterways, history abounds in the region and while they have Gayndah as the oldest town in Queensland, most of the area was settled prior to Queensland's officaial seperation from New South Wales.

... more

The region is based on an agricultural economy and every form of farming enterprise exists. With the twin citrus capitals of Gayndah and Mundubbera to some of the best beef studs in the country right through to dairying, pork production and small crops, they cater for all needs.
