Cancellation Information:
Bookings cancelled more than 14 days prior to vehicle pick up will receive a full refund minus administration fee AUD15.00. Bookings cancelled within 7 days prior to vehicle pick up will incur the full cost of the car hire from the package as cancellation fee for vehicle hire. Bookings cancelled within 48 hours prior to vehicle pick up will incur an additional cancellation fee of AUD150.00 for barge transfers. This also includes the cancellation of transfers double booked (ie. They booked transfers and were not advised that customers already booked their own).

Restrictions:
All drivers of the vehicle must be over 21 years of age, hold a current open drivers license, can drive a manual vehicle, and have held that license for more than two years. All vehicle rentals require a credit card imprint on the rental agreement (debit cards are not suitable).
All vehicle rentals are per calendar day (not 24 hours).

Vehicles are not available for hire to use outside of World Heritage listed Fraser Island National Park or its surrounding areas including Noosa North Shore, Great Sandy National Park and so on; without written permission from Safari 4WD Hire.
Directors, managers and staff shall not be responsible or liable for death and/or injury to any person, or loss of/damage to any property due to persons' negligence.

Self drive four wheel drive hire is the ultimate way to experience majestic Fraser Island! They offer a range of off road vehicles for hire from their offices in Hervey Bay and Rainbow Beach.
Please note vehicles cannot be picked up from one office and dropped off to another. They will arrange all barge transfers, vehicle permits, and camping permits for you to make your trip to Fraser the best ever!

Fraser Island is only accessible by 4WD and is an off road environment. The track conditions may be extremely rough at various times of the year. It is recommended you consult your doctor if you have a pre-existing medical condition (back pain, pregnancy, motion sickness, etc) that may be affected by this. Customers who have a pre-existing medical condition are required to advise their booking agent and Safari 4WD Hire of this at the time of the booking.

Service Information:
Camping equipment hire is charged at AUD20.00 per person per night (minimum two night hire applies). The following equipment is included in the hire charge: tents, cooler box, gas burner stove, cooking utensils and implements, table and chairs, camp mats, water container, torches, packing crates and gas bottles.
Sleeping bags are not included within the camping equipment packs, these are charged at AUD10.00 per bag.

Tariff Information:
A two day minimum hire period applies. Single day hires are not available. Minimum hire periods apply during peak holiday periods, please check when booking.
Barge transfers costs are as follows. Exit Rainbow Beach AUD90.00 return (vehicle and passengers), exit Hervey Bay AUD150.00 return (vehicle and four passengers). Extra passengers cost AUD11.00 each, for a return pass.
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Permits are charged at AUD38.25 per vehicle, and camping permits are charged at AUD5.00 per person per night.

The Suzuki Jimny is perfect for a comfortable get away for two people on Fraser Island. The vehicle is similar in size to the Suzuki Sierra however will provide a little more comfortable trip. This model is only available from the Hervey Bay office.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is perfect for small groups or families who want to travel on Fraser Island in comfort. It seats up to 6 people with plenty of room to spare for your luggage or camping gear. Available from Hervey Bay, Rainbow Beach and Brisbane.
