Mirage Boat Hire is the longest established, largest and most prestigious boat hire company on the Gold Coast. It was established 30 years ago as a small 'tinnie' boat hire company operating off the beach next to the Southport Yacht Club. Originally called Popeye's Boat Hire, it catered for the more adventurous tourist that frequented the Gold Coast at the time.
Mirage Boat Hire is situated in a prime position on the prestigious Mariner's Cove, Marina Mirage Marina, with a fleet of 24 boats catering for every boat hire need. From the more comfortable and protected 15 foot and 17 foot half cabins, on to the more affluent clients who favour the 20 foot speedboats and luxury party pontoons. Mirage Boat Hire is the only boat hire company that has identified and caters for the niche markets present in the boat hire industry. These being the following - boats for unlicensed drivers, 20 foot half cabin speedboats, 33 foot barbecue pontoon/houseboat for single day hire, luxury party pontoons as well as speedboats for licensed drivers. The company also provides a water taxi service and caters for group charters with a skipper in command.

Full refund of deposit if bad weather results in cancellation.
The following are included free in the hire: 25 litres of fuel, use of fishing rods and tackle, use of esky. (Goods and Service Tax included.) Cleaning of the boats after use is undertaken by the company.
Drivers do not need a licence, but must be 16 years or older. All boats are hired as per the conditions of hiring agreement provided by the company. Hirers are liable for damage done to boats, AUD10,000,000 Third Party liability insurance. A bond is required, full refund will be received if no damage has been done to the boat.
Rental periods are from one hour segments to full day. Book early to avoid disappointment, especially during holidays or public holidays.
The Bond for the Lark Vessel is between AUD100 and AUD150. Hire includes fuel. The Bond for the Barbecue Pontoons is AUD300. Hire includes one tank of fuel. The Four Winns Bowrider has a Bond of AUD1500. The Mustang has a Bond of AUD2500. All other vessels have a Bond of AUD200. Hire includes one tank of fuel. It will then cost AUD35 per tank for fuel.
