Children: Mini Car Rentals have child Safe'n'Sound baby seats, and baby seats can be turned around to use as baby capsules. Booster seats available too. They also have discount vouchers for the local attractions.
Miscellaneous:
A cancellation must be made seven days prior to booking. Inside the seven days a AUD50.00 cancellation fee applies.
Unsealed road/unrestricted area of use - automatic loss of bond. Dirty cars other than normal wear and tear incur a cleaning fee. The car must be returned with a full tank or a fill up fee plus the cost of the fuel will be charged. A late fee per hour will also be charged if the car is late being returned.
The age limit is 21 years to 75 years, with special consideration to over 75 years clients. Sport car drivers must be over 25 years.
One-way rentals are available. These are done through other companies.
If you rent a car for one day the rental time starts at 8 a.m. You must bring the car back at 8 a.m. the next day. (24 hours is considered to be one day).
One day or up to 31 day reservations are available, can be longer. Where possible, half day rentals may be available. (Not available during busy seasons).
The vehicles are allowed north to Cape Tribulation and south to Airlie Beach. Four Wheel Drives are allowed to Cooktown, Chillagoe and Undara Lava Tubes.
Rates include insurance, unlimited kilometres and GST (Goods and Services Tax). with an excess of AUD1500.00 for sedans and hatchbacks, AUD2500.00 for Four Wheel Drives and sports cars.
Clients can leave their car at the airport however arrangements have to be made for this and a fee applies.
Insurance policy applies, priced on application.
Some of the medium hatchbacks are allowed to the Undara Lava Tubes. A surcharge for a remote area applies. Prior arrangements must be made.
The company prefers to pick up clients in the city area or local city. Drop offs must be arranged on booking.
You are held accountable for traffic infringements, the cost of the fine plus a AUD5.00 processing fee applies. Speed camera infringements are passed on to the clients through Traffic Camera Services.
All cars come with a full tank of fuel. Stamp Duty is AUD2.00 per day. Insurance excess is AUD1500.00 and is reducible to AUD500.00 for AUD17.00 per day giving you windscreen and tyre cover.
