Coochiemudlo is a subtropical paradise nestled in Moreton Bay about 40 minutes south of Brisbane and 40 minutes north of the Gold Coast. Step back in time and feel the relaxed pace of island life and enjoy a safe, fun filled day with family and friends at the beach on Coochiemudlo Island.

You can leisurely paddle a kayak around the island in two hours, fish from the tinnies or plan a day out on the barbecue pontoon with family and friends. Watch for Dolphins, Dugongs and Sea Turtles and have fun exploring the secluded beaches, melaleuca wetlands and ancient mangrove forests which, are the island's best natural features and host a myriad of birdlife and native fauna.

Coochie Boat Hire have everything you need to explore the waters of Moreton Bay and Coochiemudlo Island. Tinnies for fishing, sightseeing, or just relaxing on the water. Kayaks for the "back to Nature" experience or Stand Up Paddle Boards, Aqua Bikes, Paddle boats for the kids to play on while you relax on the beach. For bigger groups the Barbecue Boat is a great day out for up to 10 people.

How To Get There

Drive your car or take a bus to Victoria Point (just 40 minutes south of Brisbane or north of the Gold Coast, hop onto the ferry, a pleasant seven minute ferry ride and costs AUD3.40) The ferry leaves every half an hour, on the hour and half hour. When you get to Coochie you can find Coochie Boat Hire right on the beach next to the jetty where the ferry dropped you off.

Barbecue Pontoon\Boats

The Barbecue Pontoon\Boat has all safety equipment included and has sun\rain roof protection and comfortably takes 10 people. The boats have a barbecue, AM\FM Radio and CD player with the gas for the barbecue and fuel for the boat also included. No boat license required however bookings are recommended to secure a boat on your preferred day.
