Description

The Harry Redford Cattle Drive is an authentic droving trip which follows in the steps of the famous cattle duffer Harry Redford. The trip is a once in a lifetime experience which sees visitors travelling on horseback through some of western Queensland's most picturesque countryside. Visitors ride alongside experienced Drovers and get a glimpse into a forgone way of life.

All levels of riding skill are catered for and all meals are provided. The camp oven cooking is second to none and you will enjoy the campfire yarns and tails at night. This is a great way to have a holiday and soak up the culture, hospitality and magic of the Western Queensland Outback.

Children over the age of 12 are welcome on the Harry Redford Cattle Drive.

How To Get There:
Aramac is located in Central Western Queensland. 1138 kilometres from Brisbane, 646 kilometres from Rockhampton and 672 kilometres from Townsville along sealed highways and roads if driving. Qantaslink operate flights into the nearest airports in Barcaldine and Longreach. Greyhound Coaches operate daily overnight services to Barcaldine. The Spirit of the Outback (rail) travels twice weekly to Barcaldine. REX Aviation offer flights Townsville to Longreach twice weekly. Transfers are provided from Barcaldine and Longreach to Aramac and onto the Harry Redford Cattle Drive Camp.

Inclusions:
The all inclusive daily rate for the Harry Redford Cattle Drive is AUD330.00 per adult. This includes horse, tack, food, transport to and from Barcaldine/Longreach to the camp, some associated activities and an experienced crew who will accompany you for the duration of your ride. You can nominate to ride for however long your plans allow however the minimum booking is three days.
