The Great Artesian Spa provides a relaxing and unique outback experience - a soak in the thermal mineralised artesian waters is relaxing for the body and therapeutic for the soul.
Located at the eastern entrance to Mitchell in the aquatic centre, the Great Artesian Spa comprises two large pools of artesian water. One spa has naturally heated waters from the Great Artesian Basin which is maintained at a comfortable temperature designed to relax tired muscles, ease tension and revitalize both body and mind. The other pool is designed for those who prefer a cooler experience.
The spa has been designed for easy access which includes a hydro chair for those who have restricted mobility. Also located within the complex is the Healthybyte Internet Cafe, gift shop and Mitchell's Visitor Information Centre.

Swimming Pool Opening Times: Closed Monday; open from 0600 to 0800 and 1500 to 1800 Tuesday to Friday; open from 1500 to 1800 Saturday and Sunday. Spa Opening Times: Opened from 0800 to 1130 and 1400 to 1800 everyday. Closed Christmas Day.

The Great Artesian Spa is located at the eastern entrance to Mitchell on the Warrego Highway 587 kilometres west of Brisbane. An easy day's drive from Brisbane, Mitchell is also the half way point between Brisbane and Longreach.
