Description

Gemfest - Festival of Gems will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2012. This event features the beautiful sapphires of Central Queensland as well as gems and jewels from the rest of Australia and the world. Many gem club members travel to Anakie for their supplies and to catch up with friends and acquaintances from the past. There are also a number of general interest traders to involve the wider community. Gemfest is four days of gems, food and entertainment. Some of the gems are from private collections so you will only see these rare and beautiful stones at Gemfest - Festival of Gems.

Fossickers and lapidary enthusiasts abound, along with visitors who come to browse and maybe find that something special. The traders travel from all around Australia and overseas to bring the latest innovations and information.
