Meet your qualified Driver/Guide at Fraser Roving Backpacker Resort the night before your departure to Fraser Island (the world's largest sand island). Your guide takes you through a mandatory safety briefing. This includes dingo awareness, speed limits and other aspects of island driving. Day One, pack your vehicles, off to the supermarket to buy food and drinks then on to the car ferry to take you on your three day two night camping trip to Fraser Island. Your guide will show you the magnificent island and return you to the hostel around 4.30pm on the third day.

Included in the tour is three nights accommodation at Fraser Roving Backpackers, so no need to hurry off to your next destination. Stay and enjoy the great friends you've made on your trip.

How To Get There:
Tours depart from Fraser Roving Backpacker Hostel at 412 The Esplanade, Torquay, Hervey Bay, located 50 metres from Torquay Beach. There is a courtesy pick up available from the bus station and other hostels in Hervey Bay. You can fly direct from Sydney to Hervey Bay with Virgin Australia, catch the Premier or Greyhound buses or arrive by Train and Trainlink bus to Hervey Bay.

The Three Day Two Night Tag-Along Tour departing Friday, 23 December 2011 is a four day tour and costs and extra AUD50.00 per person.
There will be no Three Day Two Night Tag-Along Tours departing on Sunday, 25 December 2011 or Monday, 26 December 2011.

Fraser Roving Self-Drive Tour Fraser Island

If you are a like-minded group of up to seven persons and would like to hire your own vehicle and make your own way around Fraser Island, they can provide you with a seven seat Troop Carrier with all cooking and camping equipment, barge fees, camping and vehicle permits, and a briefing and itinerary for your journey.

If more than seven persons, they have a fleet of well-maintained vehicles for hire. You choose the number of days and they will organise the rest. You must be over 21 years of age with a current manual drivers licence to hire a four wheel drive.
