Description
Torbanlea Picnic Races - the best family day out by a country mile! The action packed program starts soon after 9.00 a.m., on and off the track.
Experience the unique atmosphere of a bush picnic race day, amateur jockeys bush race, mini trotters delight the crowd with exhibition races on the track.
Trackside there are stalls, amusements, live entertainment, plus of course novelty events... Elston Partners Annual Celebrity Challenge - this event remains a mystery until race day, Team Tug O War is a crowd pleaser - enter a team!
Frangipanni Fashion of the Field attracts more than 150 entries to share in almost AUD2,000 in prizes on the day. And in case you need more there is chainsaw exhibition racing, woodchopping, foot races for the children too.
One of the Fraser Coast premier events for 2012 - come for a day, or stay for a week, welcome one and all!

Children:Childrens activities including Tug-o-War and foot races held on the day.
How To Get There:
Just 20 minutes north from Hervey Bay and Maryborough, three minutes off the Bruce Highway you will find the Torbanlea Picnic Races - fly to Hervey Bay, train to Maryborough West or Howard with buses from Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Bundaberg and Childers, limousine service from Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and Maryborough, Helicopter service also available (weather permitting)
Inclusions:
There will be free parking available off site, with onsite parking AUD5 per vehicle, caravan and motorhome sites are available also, please email for a quote. Corporate group bookings are available and Bus/gate entry packages also!
