The Tamarind is the fully licensed, in-house restaurant at Spicers Tamarind Retreat, located just three kilometres from Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Led by head chef Daniel Jarrett, The Tamarind specialises in innovative Modern Asian cuisine, with each dish offering a harmonious balance of sweet, sour and spicy flavours. From oysters with finger lime sorbet, to a spicy massaman curry or a WA Sardine salad, The Tamarind's ever-changing menu and perfectly matched wines make it a true gourmet destination.

The Tamarind is positioned to capture views of the tranquil surrounds, with the option of either indoor or outdoor seating available. The Tamarind is also an ideal setting for a truly memorable wedding or special occasion.
Learn the intricacies of Thai cooking in the purpose-built cooking school at Spicers Tamarind Retreat. Daniel Jarrett hosts intimate classes of up to 12 people with five hours of cooking, lunch, wine, signature apron and full recipes included.

From Brisbane Airport: Airport Drive, enter M1 Bruce Highway towards Sunshine Coast, follow until exit at Steve Irwin Way, pass Australia Zoo, follow signs to Landsborough, left at Railway Street, continue to Maleny, take Landsborough Maleny Road exit at roundabout, pass the Montville turn off, continue two kilometres, turn right at Obi Lane South, proceed one kilometre to Spicers Tamarind Retreat, parking available.
