Sarina Sugar Shed is a miniature working sugar mill and distillery conducting tours on the Queensland Sugar Industry where three generations of farming come to life. One of the best things to see and do in the Mackay region. A Tour offers an interesting stop-over for travellers after being captivated by the magnitude of lush green cane fields as they drive the Queensland coast. Centrally positioned, between Brisbane and Cairns in the heartland of Australia's billion dollar sugar industry, just a half hours drive south of Mackay. Take a tour to experience the tasting of the products produced at the Sugar Shed. Lime and Mango gourmet sauces, liqueurs and schnapps. Smooth flavours of chocolate, rum, local Bowen mangoes tantalise taste buds and have you wanting more. The big attraction for the children is the creation of fairy floss.

Experience the whole factory tour in one easy accessible level. An ideal attraction for all ages, visitors have the opportunity to take a tour and see the machinery and equipment that process sugar into the by-product molasses and the distillation process for the production of rum and other alcoholic beverages. How To Get There:
The Sarina Sugar Shed is situated just off the Bruce Highway in the Field of Dreams Parkland, Railway Square, Sarina Queensland, Australia. 37 kilometres south of Mackay airport and 307 kilometres north of Rockhampton beside CSR ethanol the second largest ethanol plant in Australia and CSR Plane Creek Mill which crushes approximately 1.4 million tonnes of sugar cane per season.
