If you are in awe of spices and would like to learn some fundamental info about spice blending, then these introductory and Advanced classes at Red Hot Chilli Pepper are for you. Learn a little about the history of spices and how they have shaped the world to what it is today, learn about the spice groups and why they are so important when preparing a blend. Learn about the differences between herbs and spices, the harvesting of herbs and spices, why spices have such strong flavours and how to store them properly. You will then create three blends on your own whilst tasting them with food samples made freshly on the day. The session ends with a well deserved glass of wine or beer and a helping of curry that will contain one of the spice blends learnt in the class.
