Their gastronomic philosophy is to cook fresh locally produced food in season, to cook for taste and to cook food simply, enhancing the natural flavours so the food looks and tastes delicious.

General Comments

The participative and 'hands on' classes are limited to eight. They may be booked individually or in groups. Classes are a relaxing and enjoyable experience and centre around a theme, such as their signature class - A Slice of the Hinterland, showcasing all local, seasonal produce; Coastal Catch - Seafood Delights; and Italianicious - Cooking with Passion. Everything you need for the day is provided - morning tea, lunch, wine, aprons, knives, cooking implements and ingredients, recipe booklet and pen.

How to get There

On the Ridge Cooking School is 100 kilometres north of Brisbane off the Bruce Highway. Take the Bli Bli-Nambour-Mujimba turn off and head for Nambour; drive through the intersection of Coronation Avenue and National Park Road, continue west on National Park Road, the Blackall Range Tourist drive, heading towards Mapleton. After about 10 minutes you will see the Kureelpa sign and climb the ridge. At the end of the overtaking lane, on the right is Kureelpa Falls Road - turn right, drive along Kureelpa Falls Road for 1.8 kilometres - to 183 Kureelpa Falls Road and On the Ridge Cooking School.
