Description
Eagleby Wetland Reserve, a re-claimed wetland around a water treatment plant on the Albert River, is located between the Logan and Albert Rivers on the Gold Coast. The Wetlands feature varied bird habitats such as melaleuca and brackish swamps, freshwater lakes, woodlands, cane fields and open grassland. 203 Australian native bird species have been recorded in the Reserve, including 17 of the 24 Australian Raptors, and almost half of the species found in Queensland. The Eagleby Wetland Reserve is a popular birding location for avi-tourists.

Parents or guardian should accompany young children as this is a wetland. No swimming allowed in any of the ponds or lakes.
Disabled:
Disabled access to all tracks through and around the wetlands and areas allotted for those with wheelchairs in the birdhide.
