Miscellaneous:
After dark, Currumbin comes alive with activity. Their amazing nocturnal animals come out to feed, hunt and play, and Australia's indigenous people perform amazing traditional dance and music. It's all in a fully guided, absolutely fascinating two and a half hour Wildnight Adventure you must experience at least once in your life.

You'll get to touch some of their incredible creatures. Witness things that growl, hop and slither getting stuck into their evening meals. You'll see one of the biggest Saltwater Crocs in Australia. Hand-feed their big mob of friendly kangaroos. See the Tasmanian devil at his most active. Cuddle the koalas. During the Wildnight Adventure, you will also experience traditional culture with members of the Jaran Dance Troupe, who provide the only daily Aboriginal and Islander dance performance on the Gold Coast.

Wildnight Adventures departs from the main entrance of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a totally unique experience. Transfers can be arranged for Wildnight Adventure for additional charge. Tours operate seven nights a week from 7.00 p.m. Five hours notice is required to amend dates of visit. 24 hours notice is required to cancel. Bookings close at 3.00 p.m. that day.

Extreme Green Challenge - Get higher with Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's exhilarating treetops ropes course with the all new Extreme Green Challenge. The Extreme Green Challenge starts within the lush surroundings of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and features 14 challenges, including rope bridges and ladders. The course extends high into the treetop canopy over the Sanctuary, before finishing with an exhilarating flying fox over the Crocodile Wetlands. It's the Gold Coast's newest eco-friendly, adventure-based activity and brings a new dimension to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's range of activities, shows and presentations. The Extreme Green Challenge has been designed for family fun, fitness and team building and is suitable for children from six year old that are able to reach at least 1.6 metres in height from heels to the tip of their outstretched hands.

Cafe Sanctuary - local, fresh, natural... Come back to Currumbin for the Gold Coast's newest dining experience. Cafe Sanctuary offers local, fresh food in Currumbin's unique, natural surroundings. There's no entry charge to visit for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Café Sanctuary. You'll enjoy the best food and wine from the region as well as wildlife encounters.

From Saturday 4 April, the Lorikeet Arena will be opened up for free entry to celebrate Queensland's 150th birthday. Just like the early days of this great Queensland icon, you can feed the lorikeets for a gold coin donation. You can also explore the retail outlets and enjoy fresh local produce for breakfast, lunch or dinner at Cafe Sanctuary - and, if you wish, purchase entry to enjoy a full day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The arena precinct will become the centre of a refurbished dining and retail experience, while also providing a venue for free community events and entertainment. The Lorikeets feed at the Sanctuary from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and at 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p. m. each day, just as they did when Alex Griffiths founded the Sanctuary more than 60 years ago. So go back to Currumbin and celebrate with them!

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is just five minutes north from the Gold Coast Airport, 10 minutes north of Coolangatta, 20 minutes south of Surfers Paradise and just one hour south of Brisbane via the M1.
