Description
Built by convicts in 1829, the Commissariat Store is one of the oldest buildings in Brisbane and today houses a museum where you can explore many interesting artefacts and Brisbane memorabilia.
The riverside site of the stores is located on what was a gateway to the new colony. Prisoners and guards disembarking would make their way past the building to reach the other buildings of the settlement.

Further Details:Group Tours are welcome by prior arrangement. Off street parking is available for those driving. The venue is a short walk from South Bank (which is easily accessible by public transport - bus, CityCat and train). Also accessible via walking over the Goodwill Bridge or Victoria Bridge from the City Centre (also accessible via public transport).
