The Thargomindah Visitor Information Centre is housed in a building built from local mud brick prior to 1888 and used as a hospital until 1976, when a new hospital facility was built in Dowling Street. This original hospital building is now the Thargomindah Visitor Information Centre, open to the public all year and with its own resident ghost. Be sure to stop in and get some local information.
